Soi 35 to the end, turn right, half way down the road on the right. A retirement visa is simpler, less paperwork.
TM. 7
2 copies ID page of Passport
2 photos
1900BHT
50yrs. or older
2 copies of Financial Statement From Embassy of 65,000 a month.
Arrival card
Copy of house registration or rental contract
Map to residence from a main road
Thx! appreciate the insight - plus I must include my bank book with the THB400k. I assume that's still a requirement.

If you don't have the 800,000 in the bank for 3 months use the monthly income from the embassy. Caveat;
I'm referring t the US embassy, I don't know what any one else does.

Can anybody advise where to get photos for Immigration? In Bluport or Market Village perhaps?

Get them done at Immigration - not expensive, and no danger of them being rejected. The lady at the photocopy machine will do it while she checks your papers.

If you are travelling from the centre of town on the baht bus, get off just after you pass Soi 80. Just along from there there's a competent and well equipped photographic shop who will take a proper photo of you (not a photobooth job) and print them out while you wait.

You can then grab the next baht bus and continue down to Bluport..
I may be drunk, Miss, but in the morning I shall be sober and you will still be ugly...

No disrespect, but why on earth whould you bother doing that when any camera shop in either of the big Malls will do exactly the same? I used big camera in Bluport. I got a heap of immigration and pasport photos - two sizes - and a flash drive withh the pics on. Not a photobooth job!

My understanding is for Blueport immigration you don't need photos they take one there for you.

I think this thread has veered off course. I'm pretty sure that the subject is aimed at the main immigration and not Bluport immigration. BB gave the correct response in that you can get them done at immigration at 19 Rai.

Yes, I agree it's for the main immigration office, but I need the pics for other reasons as well and when I go to immigration, I want everything prepared in advance, not mess around when I get there.
