Foreigner's are restricted in work they can do in Thailand, please see the attached link. Even if you do find a job do not expect European salaries and benefits in Thailand.

However there are ways around the prohibited list, I don't know how but some foreigner's do work in some of the occupations listed as prohibited.

If you get a job in a prohibited occupation, eventually you will be caught, some Thai who wants your job will rat you out, you'll be deported and can never return. Follow laphanphon's advice. If you and your girlfriend are serious get married and live in Europe. If you met her in a bar, forget it.

There is an old English proverb”there is more than one way to skin a cat!”
iIMHO education is never wasted! Get your qualifications and look to work flexibility. This is very popular in Europe and you can spend good chunks of time in Thailand while getting a good European wage.
Now semi retired 60:40 Thailand: UK ( seems to be working well)

I believe many are employed as 'advisers'. The European lawyers that work here are 'Legal Advisers'. Some working in schools have the job 'Director'.

And of course the term 'consultant' goes a long way!

In a follow up to my previous post, last night I asked a friend who is an accountant and works in BKK, he is employed as an Independent Financial Specialist Consultant and has a work visa, so there are ways around some prohibited positions.
