I am looking to buy Travel Insurance from the UK, but Columbus Direct worked out too much in my case.
Justtravel.com and OKtotravel are looking best for my needs.

Yes deffo not the cheapest as they allow things that others don't, so you have to pay for it

I'll make a note of those two other names tho ...

ive heard that some travel insurance companies in UK have started offering Covid 19 insurance again

what i need is one that covers people who have already travelled ....

plus (ideally anyway) and PEMC's(pre existing Med conditions)

there MUST be people in same boat as me who are travelling 'indefinitley' due covid 19 and need to insure from abroad but be covered for Covid

there will be some im sure

anyone been through same process im looking at?

doesnt have to be UK based but make things easier as 'resident'

thanks

thanks Dannie
yes i have searched
e.g Battleface, Big Cat, True Traveller all offer insurance for already travelling but no covid as yet
await response from one to two more eg Globelink
I need insurance by 15 July
ideally my worry is that they will start offering covid 19 cover again after that
like I say, there must be many hundreds if not thousands of UK citizens in Thai who also need to extend or seek new travel insurance to cover their 'indefinite stay but ideally with covid cover
cover can be extended with some, to deal with extended stays, but subject to a maximum cover period of 2 years(in total)

thanks again

Can’t you take out insurance with a Thai company?

ps to that last message, i currenlty have 'medical' insurance after my travel insurance expired, but like pretty much all medical insurance its IN PATIENT only and is full of restrictions but does cover covid

id rather go back to travel insurance which is far better value for money( as in & out patient) but ideally seeking covid too.....it will come back, only a matter of time, especially as Thailand very low risk versus many countries

as for travel insurance from Thai companies I'm clueless, please enlighten me thanks

Why don't you contact Matt at AA Insurance? He is the best insurance broker/agent I've ever known. He'll tell you as it is. He won't BS you.

I did my medical insurance through Matt and agree he's very good for that
He didn't have a lot to offer on travel insurance though
in the past I've generally found dealing direct for Trav Ins to be better but covid has thrown a spanner in works
i will ask Matt about Travel Ins/Covid cover
but will continue searching
thanks

ps Matt cant offer travel insurance to people who have already travelled so that's a non starter.
There are several UK companies as mentioned above who can do this but just not offering Covid at present
whether Covid is the threat it once was is a matter for the individual
