Questions crap cos I was a failure. Sorry team members (Jim, Sue, Bill and Jan)
Great food as always. Thank Buddha, Barry and Johnnie for no chips
The quiz master and his lady must take a great deal of credit for their efforts. Barry, I seem to remember you were a bingo caller in Margate or Clacton some years back?
Still think York woz capital of England before London but I'm a TYKE

Kendo - you can do the next one by skype if you fancy - we got bloody Chester wrong!!!!
Great to see Richard after many attempts to make it - I might do some chips next time as a real tease for him!! As Richard says Barry and Jill spend a lot of time on the quiz and their efforts to make our brains work are very much appreciated by all.
Was a great night as always - the winning team had an awesome score - they had 5 knowledgeable members! Note goes to my teammates, Dimitry and Mick our 3 man team solidiered in to 3rd place!
Anyone who enjoys some brain teasing fun and some great laughs, along with some proper food should keep an eye for the next one - usually in about 3 weeks time.
Well somewhere along the way Thunderbirds were mentioned
Well those of you who know the series will remember 'Brains'

I've seen him lurking with ladies of the night in Hogs Breath bar. Lady Penelopy was trying to park the roller on the corner of Binta and Poonsuk and he got led astray
So for the next event our team will be Jim, Sue, Richard, Bill, Brains and I'll coerce Sandman to be our spiritual leader
Chips will not be required as we are now in awe of your excellent chicken dish, rice, french bread and MASHED spuds

There were a couple of teams using their mobiles/i.pads during the quiz.
Probably completely innocent but it makes a few of us paranoid.
Perhaps just a brief word before the quiz starts would suffice.
Great night really enjoyed it thanks.
If people go to those lengths on a fun night I feel sorry for them
My friend was on his mobile but it was what to do with his g/f. Invite her or meet later
If it becomes a Google competition count me and I suspect most, out

I am 100% sure that no-one was using mobiles to get answers, one of my teammates was getting emails about his new work contract and I guess a fair few others were getting messages - there is no prize so its hardly worth it! Its a shame that mobiles are such an integral part of life now...
my missus runs pubs and mobile phone usage is a bloody pain. 8 students all on their iphones just to win 6 pints of beer. she has instigated the bingo approach whereby the winner is the one that gets 35 questions correct out of the 40 asked. questions used picked at random. not perfect but at least it stops the same crew winning all the time. open the box is very popular too, maybe this is something you could consider doing for a bit of fun. music quiz nights also good fun but take a lot of effort to do well.
hopefully when i am over in a month or so, i can drop in on a quiz.
