My wife (farang) popped into Be Well Clinic today to ask about being tested prior to flying back to the UK. They spoke very good English, and assured her that their rapid Antigen test meets the standards required for the UK.

The results would be available in 1/2 hour, and the cost would be 1790 Baht. This is obviously a lot cheaper, and quicker, than the tests at the three major hospitals.

Has anybody else used Be Well Clinic for this purpose, or is there a catch?

From the above link:
You do not need to take a test if you began your journey to England from:

Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, the Isle of Man, Jersey or Guernsey
Falkland Islands, St Helena, Ascension or Myanmar
A bit surprising!

Possibly because of the situation in Myanmar?

Which implies that the UK will welcome refugees from Myanmar whereas Thailand (it's neighbour) will, if not turned back at the border, arrest them and deport them back to Myanmar.

Says a lot about Thailand's humanitarian policy.

Have I missed a recent update from our Governor lifting some Covid restrictions? I've checked all of the usual sites for the last few days, but I can't see anything.

My reason for asking is that when out and about today, I've noticed gyms have re-opened. Does anybody know why? Apart from, of course, that they have been unemployed for 2 months now, and they are getting desperate..
