There was plenty at Makro CA this morning, but maybe they’ll be a rush now?

They ran out of minced beef and have no idea when any more will arrive in the meat area at Makro.

Normally I go there and ask them to get a full 'big pack of 80/20' from the cold room, they then run it through the mincer twice and I buy a load of it, 4 or 5 KG at a time. I freeze it in smaller portions in separate bags when I get home and it lasts me for months before I need more.

I intended to do this Monday but they had literally nothing left and no idea when it will come back

We asked why they had none and apparently there had been an outbreak of COVID somewhere in the supply chain - so no more minced beef, only frozen available.

They have some minced beef at Makro Cha Am but today was 54 baht more per kilo which is a big increase, nearly 20 %

Friends from Bangkok said they got all there paper work and permits to travel to Hua Hin and were never stopped once. Which begs the questions, what's the point and do the authorities really give a damn about stopping the spread of the the virus?
