Not really. At least, I can't see any reference in that report regarding yesterday's announcement, unless it's the bullet stating just one more, but when you read that, the report doesn't really bear any relation to what was said in the brief. However, I did say the guy didn't even know what day it was.:?
Or was it this then? https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/ge ... t-thursday

Seen to be infected on Tuesday (23rd) which would have been his last full day in quarantine (10th - 23rd, I don't think it would include the day he arrived - 9th).

I think I've given up caring about numbers from quarantine anyway. Even if they all tested positive it wouldn't mean much in relation to the situation in the country.

According to the CCSA. (Will be my standard disclaimer in the future).
Then why the need to make the same post day after day? It certainly does add to the discussion.

The number of deaths is numbing,so large and changing everyday.
UK deaths now at over 42,0

That is like 16 loaded jet liners crashing with no survivors'

It is like 14, 9/11s

Every day for two weeks a 9/11 happening to 14 different British cities.

For the US it is like a 9/11 everyday for 6 weeks.

Well, it was. But numbers infected and deaths are now in a very steady decline.

Unfortunately not everywhere: -

"Leicester could be the first place in England to face local lockdown measures after a rise in coronavirus cases, as the home secretary, Priti Patel, confirmed more support for the city."

The way the muppets have been gathering on the beaches in Bournemouth, we'll be seeing spikes in several other areas IMHO. I feel we're going to see some "craziness" come July 4th.....

[EDIT] Also in light of the above, I believe Wales should re-think their own relaxation of the rules.

Oh, come out from behind the LHG's skirts and tell us how you really feel, pharvey!

I totally agree. Medical experts are already saying that this is far from over, and the last thing we need is a resurgence similar to that seen in some US states.

Apart from getting a haircut (Sarah, I miss you my dear!), I won't be doing anything differently than I have been for the last few months, not for the time being at least. But since it will be a while before we start acting again, all that really means is that I won't be going to the local pub to watch Spurs.

Stats show they are definitely at higher risk of dying as a result of Covid-19, but I'm not sure if they are more likely to contract it than anyone else.

China puts half a million in lockdown to fight new cluster

https://www.bangkokpost.com/world/19422 ... ew-cluster

China imposed a strict lockdown on nearly half a million people in a province surrounding the capital to contain a fresh coronavirus cluster on Sunday, as authorities warned the outbreak was still "severe and complicated".

After China largely brought the virus under control, hundreds have been infected in Beijing and cases have emerged in neighbouring Hebei province in recent weeks.

Health officials said Sunday that Anxin county -- about 150 kilometres from Beijing -- will be "fully enclosed and controlled", the same strict measures imposed at the height of the pandemic in the city of Wuhan earlier this year.

Only one person from each family will be allowed to go out once a day to purchase necessities such as food and medicine, the county's epidemic prevention task force said in a statement.

The move comes after another 14 cases of the virus were reported in the past 24 hours in Beijing, taking the total to 311 since mid-June and spurring the testing of millions of residents.

The outbreak was first detected in Beijing's sprawling Xinfadi wholesale food market, which supplies much of the city's fresh produce, sparking concerns over the safety of the food supply chain.

Nearly a third of the cases so far have been linked to one beef and mutton section in the market, where workers are being made to quarantine for a month, city officials said Sunday.

Businesses in Anxin county had supplied freshwater fish to the Xinfadi market, state news agency Xinhua reported.

Some 12 cases of the novel coronavirus were found in the county -- including 11 linked to Xinfadi, the state-run Global Times reported.

The new cases in Beijing have prompted fears of a resurgence of the virus in China.

The capital has mass-tested wholesale market workers, restaurant workers, residents of medium and high-risk neighbourhoods and delivery couriers over the past two weeks.

At a press conference on Sunday, officials said 8.3 million samples have been collected so far, of which 7.7 million have already been tested.

Testing has now expanded to include all employees of the city's beauty parlours and hair salons, the Global Times said.

Beijing city official Xu Hejian told reporters Sunday that "the epidemic situation in the capital is severe and complicated," warning that the city needed to continue tracing the spread of the virus.

City officials have urged people not to leave Beijing, closed schools again and locked down dozens of residential compounds to stamp out the virus.

But Wu Zunyou, chief epidemiology expert at the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, told reporters last week the new outbreak had been "brought under control", and officials lifted a weeks-long lockdown imposed on seven Beijing communities on Friday.

But the fact they are in steady decline makes it easier to identify, manage and control localised spikes. And they are still in general decline overall.

We're already in dire straits, hundreds of businesses gone, tens of thousands losing jobs (including my 3 siblings and nephew) and no doubt more to go. A second wave/resurgence would cripple us - and no doubt the idiots ignoring the rules will expect to be bailed out when their jobs disappear (if they're not on benefits already)..... :banghead:
