We seem to be getting a few foreign infections being recorded recently. Omicron or Delta? Would be interesting to know.

We know of one Omicron personally, but they don't seem to be publishing that stat. Or if they are, it's well hidden.

Looks like we(Hua Hin District) hit the bottom last week and will start to climb again. Hardly surprising bearing in mind the influx of 'tourists'

A local long term farang said to me last night that he thought the High Season was already over! I disagreed with him as my eyes were telling me otherwise.

As it relates to covid numbers, any views?

It's probably over. Test & Go is suspended. Only sandbox still running is Phuket. News reports say cancellations are mounting. Tourists will be changing destinations.

There's supposed to be a decision about test & go upcoming but they just raised the COVID-19 alert level to 4.

So compared to last week the daily average in HH District has basically trebled

Most tourists came here after Christmas, so is it really surprising?

Just when we were doing so well....

But I'm looking at case numbers only. I've not looked at how sick these people are and how much danger 'we' are in as a result.

That's another debate in itself

Probably more likely to be the huge numbers returning from Covid infected Isaan after the New Year break. We had exactly the same after Songkran.

True enough, and in which case next week may well be higher again as numbers filter through

But then again, even though we had a really bad week, it was still an average week as regards the numbers from April onwards.

The numbers now should in theory be higher than average. And next week i suspect they will be.

Let's hope by not a great margin though

9 foreign imports into PKK. 30 cases in the HH Recharge area (HH municipal area).

Wonder how long the exemptions due to being a blue zone will last.
