I'll probably join. There's only one London team, so I'll add myself as a Milwall fan, the one London pro club I never visited, and a mate is a fan.

Millwall - last time I went there, there was a huge fight on the pitch. Mind you, it was Herbie Hyde winning the WBO heavyweight title in 1994 .

I think I'm going to like this new competition this year. No (or not many) prima donnas, no astronomical wages or transfer fees, no constant articles about the managers being fired/hired.

Closer to grassroots football. In fact, the further down you go in the Leagues the more grassroots it probably gets, and the football is probably more entertaining than all the glitz at the top.

I think youll find not much will change. Generally wages will be lower, but there's a few teams on parachute payments to enable them to retain their better players at least. That lasts for three years.

To get to grassroots football you have to go way beyond the football league into the two tiers of the national league, at the top of the pyramid and the various regional feeder leagues into that. Then county level leagues and so on. There are many levels.

The crystal ball is definitely a tad foggy for this one - absolutely clueless!! I'm trying a slightly different approach for this one...

Dai_L tells me he has a Gypsy-like feeling, but I'm betting that's just indigestion or the effects of one-too-many evening beverages!
