OK I will admit to being the only one who has admitted to a 30+ year age difference and I will admit to it being a bit of a shock that there are not more.

As has been said earlier, it all depends on the strength of the relationship, ours is very good and I think we are both genuinely happy, taking care of each other.

I will add that as a 92 year old, she still looks great.

Well if we're going by looks, add 30 to my previous post of age differences. Her darn asian youthful looks, and my, er, ahh, 'weathered' look.

Might be so many interfering 'busy bodies' around making judgements about this subject, everywhere we go, because they just can't let go of the rigid crap that's been drilled into them since school. Unable to have latitude and free their minds, not realising that it is none of their business really.

If you hear it from a guy, particulary those that live in the west, then they are just envious or jealous. Bet they wish they could have such a wide choice.

Women back home just get pissed off about it because given the choice we'd rather jump into bed with a slim, beautiful, younger women than a psycologically disturbed nut-buster.

So long as people are happy and not breaking any laws, then it's OK.

I don't blame a woman for wanting a better life, certainly not here. Everyone wants to have a better life, but we, as westerners, have more chances.

While you may be right in your assessment of how men and women in our home countries view those with relationships here with larger age differences, I don't think you can generalise like that, and I certainly don't think most women would feel the way you describe. I would think more of them would be happy that it's another old git that they won't have to fend off in a pub! I haven't detected any resentment from any strangers we have met on visits to the UK, normally just curiosity about my wife and Thailand, and friends are happy that we are happy; maybe in private they voice other opinions but I doubt it. To be honest though, I really don't give two hoots what others think unless they do or say something offensive to us - we know the truth of our relationship and that is all that matters.

Had a bad experience with a woman back home, did you? Well, that can happen anywhere - and reading some of the experiences of falang/Thai relationships here, I would say that you're far more likely to experience a 'psychologically disturbed nut-buster' here than you are in the West. OK, in the West you would probably end up with half the house, car, joint bank account, etc. Here...
