Hello. Sawatdee khrap.
Hello. Sawatdee khrap.
Hello to everyone. My name is Don. I've been an avid reader of this site for almost two years now, and felt it time to introduce myself.
Whatever the reasons; Hua Hin became the target of my research for a place to live and do business a couple of years ago. After about 8 or 9 months of said research, my Ahngrit Wife; as well as our (lifelong) business partner; said---"if you think this is the place...Go!" And I did!
I researched bar owners( by the way--wife, partner, and myself have been service industries all of our lives....in mutiple countries) guesthouses, restaurants, and cultural aspects of LOS and was fully prepared to either: 1) Find it feasible but not FEEL it...
or 2) Feel it and not find it feasible.............
HA!
Now would be the time to praise as well as thank this forum for what you do for the place you love.
Living away from your home is tough....B@#$!!ching about a home like this just shows what you really are. * I read with ZEAL the Expats defence of a bar owner who ' couldn't make time for some a*s...'
My dear friends...if only every community could back their own in that way..
Anyway, I've prefaced enough.... Here' the deal.
Thank you for being the community I want to live in, ( WAH--hardships or not) and thank you for being a voice of reason where all things Expat are concerned!
And now the good news!!!!!! I will be exiting the BKK bus at Th. Chomsin once again Oct. 5 (unless my Calif. resident of Roi Et picks me up) to spend yet another glorious, head clearing week or two in Hua Hin.
I encourage any and all to join me for a beer and a chat. (wont mention fav bars here).
Cool...Think thats a reasonable introduction.....yeah?

So Cal.
Yup migrant. Border of LA and Ventura counties.
Sadly though, will be flying out before you arrive.
However, as of February, the chances of bumping into me in HH will become far more regular!

Hello. Sawatdee Krap
Hi Don - if you are still around in HH on Fri 17th Oct call around to Bamboo Grove Bar on Chomsin (over the tracks) for an introduction to a good British game of darts with us!

A sprout is for life - not just for Christmas.
