I read this thread out of curiosity as I've recently been involved in putting something together for a charity here in the UK, so I wondered what it was about. However, whilst I encouraged people to get involved and sent out loads of emails to all and sundry and made posts on internet forums, I never berated those who didn't join in!

Getting angry on here about a lack of response in the way that you have might come across as a tad sanctimonious and isn't going to endear too many people to the idea of working with you mate.

People have busy lives and problems of their own to deal with. Just a fact. Another fact is that I know there are many in Hua Hin who are involved in community activities in one way or another.

An attempt at something like this was made a couple of years ago by members of this forum but it turned out to be a one off. However, it shows that the principle is sound and if you get it rolling I'm sure others will contribute - but you need to put some leg work in first and get them onside rather than throwing a hissy fit!

Good luck though - I honestly wish you all the best in this project.

jamie im not getting angry im just disapointed with the response, i know plenty of people are busy with their own lives ive done quite a few charity events in the uk and abroad its not easy as you will know but i can be frustrating getting help and support and sometimes you have to push to get things done its the only way to get results

Many people I know have or still are helping the Thai community, Your attitude will not encourage people to help. Also you need to be more specific about who you want to raise money for, your original post was very lacking in detail. You are not the only one helping out here a lot of others do it. An apology to those people would be in order
Woke up this morning breathing that's a good start to the day.
