ring road
Does anyone remember the proposed plan to build a ring road around HH starting near Palm Hills and ending down at soi 112? I think this was 3 years ago., but I assume like many projects, this one was moved to the back burner. It would nice to see some of the traffic congestion lifted on PK road , and the infamous hin lek fai railway crossing.
Yes, they closed down all the stalls/restaurants along the railway with the new road in mind. I even remember advance apologies for the upset in traffic. They did some dredging going towards Takieb to prepare for this road.
Now the railway fringe is filled more than before with shops/restaurants/bars. Back burner?? Nah, buried for good I think.

I presume all the upgrading of the canal road was going to be part of this.
Well looks like it's having along rest...if not actually dead.
Not sure what they will do about the railway crossing. I understand that not disturbing the shrine just there is the (or one of) reason for not sorting that horror out?

Will it go to the new sea-port to link up with the projected Pattaya ferry and complete the Eastern seaboard rejuvenation thing?Guess wrote:Cynics, all of you.
It's going ahead and will serve Disneyland in Had Sai Noi and link up with the new Hua Hin to BKK express rail link. Some bloke in the pub told me.

Thanks Guess, I was having a boring morning until i read that..now i cant stop laughing....When i rolled into HH 3 yrs ago Mickey and Pluto were only days away from opening the HH Dinsneyland. If i remember correctly, it was near the Pala-U-Bypass intersection.......if nothing else it gives us something to talk about, and then laugh about 3 years later...
Does anyone remember the world's largest water park ( 1000 rai) that was to be built in HH? It was going to attract people from all corners of the world. I don't know about you guys, but I'm glad most of these fantasies move from the back burner to the bin...

No that one did have to be shelved. The Burmese have been diverting all the rivers and selling the water on the black market to China in exchange for polyester underware.Cowtown Comedy wrote:...

All the rest is in the planning stage now. To summarise:
Extend Hua Hin airport runways to cater for the new airbus 380s
Express Hyper pass from Bangkok over the salt marshes to Pran Buri,
Disneyland at Had Sai Noi,
Hydrofoil link to Pattaya.
High Speed Swampi - Hua Hin - Hat Yai Rail link
These are all now in planning with the new Hua Hin Cha Am City council. The project will be in conjunction with the plan to rid Hua Hin of undesirables. Parasites Out Of Paradise (PooP).

Using a simple calculus formula Dhh/Dt, where hh=Huahin T=Time, what will be the Rate of Change for infrastructure in the Hua Hin area over the next 10 years. What do you think has been the biggest change in last 5 years, and what do you think will go down as the biggerst change in the next 5? Market Village must be one of the bigger developments in HH's books in past 5.
