A good 10 man performance(ridiculous red card). 2-2 to a good city side. We've still got a few problems but its looking rosier every week. A month ago City would have slaughtered us

At least the problems at SJP are hopefully being sorted. A good point off the blue half of scouse land and a good point off the blue three quarters of Manc. I wouldn't swap our problems for tottenham's.
Big game on Saturday, away to Sunderland. Would be happy with a point off that one. Keano has got them ticking over well!

Would you play Barton? I saw a headline saying Kinnear was going to have a word with him. Possibly something like "you noble Cisse & we'll get thru the rest of the game with 10" :thumb:

Tough one!! A fit Joey Barton with his head screwed on the right way round and its a job to leave him out. I don't like the guy and i think he's a thug. That said,i'm as fickle as the next football fan and if he scores a thirty yard screamer i'll be jumping for joy and glad he's on the pitch.
Its last chance lobby for the guy.If he f***s up again his career is all but over. This might be the making of him!!!!but then again, its Joey Barton.

I'd play him. Very good player is Joey Barton and I'm not sure Newcastle can afford to leave their best players out.

I don't think we can afford anything at the moment Baa Baa.
My guess is he'll start on the bench.

premier league 08 09

I`ve just seen Joey Barton being interviewed on Sky Sports, it seems he is on a public relations exercise, admitting that fans are entitled to give him stick, he promises to be a better boy etc. etc. But the eyes give it away. He is just a thug in a football shirt.

Unfortunately there's a lot of them around Arcadian - pretty much every PL club has at least one.

I think Kinnear has said he'll feature at some point in this game. I see he's been at the Sporting Chance Clinic. If I were Tony Adams after setting up this clinic I don't think I'd want Joey Barton advertising he went there, could do a lot of damage to their reputation - but on the other hand, if he truly is reformed...
