Accident Insurance( non-auto)

Post by Chas »

I have just run several searches on the HHAD website and I am just not finding what I want. I tried "Muang Thai Insurance" in the search box but I kept getting references for each word individually but perhaps only a one word search is possible here? ( I just didnt feel like wading through 722 threads which use the word "insurance")

Soooooo . . .I will start a thread to ask the following

Does anyone have a good local company to recommend for:

1. Personal accident insurance ( falling off a ladder, etc.)
2. Contents of home insurance (theft, fire, water etc)
3. Home insurance

(possible 4. Life insurance. but I dont want to lead with this.

I checked with BUPA who seem to be the best company around by all HHAD accounts. They offer none of the above. They suggested Muang Thai who I have written to and not heard back from yet.

Expat Insurance listed on HHAD does not seem to offer the first three on my list.

Anyone have any experience with Muang Thai?

Can anyone recommend any other company in Hua Hin that offers any or all of the above?

Thanks

Hi Chas,
We insured our house through the Bangkok bank very reasonable rates we could have insured from 1 to 5 years, settled for two at a cost of about 6000 baht, you can also get the terms and conditions in English, they did want a couple of photo's tho, too keep on there file.

The Observer provides an insurance broker service. It is possible to get home and contents and limited accident and life insurance (in the one policy) through the Observer with Aviva.

We use this company Chas: http://www.msig-thai.com/msig/html/defa ... anged=true
Never had to claim or anything so can't comment on their service at all. They are in Bangkok but have a local Hua Hin agent, if you ring them they'll tell you the agent, don't think I can post it on here.

Cheers,

SJ
