I think what we're all forgetting, more importantly, is that although Tottingham beat Liverpool at White Hart Lane, which is no disgrace on Liverpools part (As despite Spurs shocking start they are a decent side)
Chelsea got knocked out, at home, by Burnley.

Agree mate, you were unlucky to play us after a new manager came in which most times gets the lazy-arsed millionaires putting extra effort in (at least upto about 80% ) for a dozen games or so.

West Brom Away, should be a formality, We've got Bolton Away, hoping for a win but not usually an easy game.

The difference being our first team includes some of the best players in the world, yours doesn't.
In fact not one of your first team would get in ours with the possible exception of Bale.

What tosh, the likes of Lennon ect would play in any premier league team,Bale is on the bench at the moment as his form has dipped since his long injury lay off(8 months),really just one of our reserves at the moment his place is held by Benouto but probably not for much longer

But Lennon isnt a Leftback which is why I selected Bale.
Lennon wouldn't get in any of the top 4 anyway.

Digger, I know you're a fellow Spurs fan but Lennon doesn't get in our starting line at the moment, but he will and agree he probably is potentially our best player. He's far from finished article yet though, final ball/shooting is lacking. But he was born in Chapeltown so he will find that killer touch soon enough

I don't go for all these football cliches like 'which player would get in our team' s or 'its a game of two halves', that's all nonsense, all that matters is 'it's a half of two games'.

I've said it before Gomes should be deported with immediate effect, no appeal process just frog-marched onto a plane, boat, train, container with insufficient ventilation, however.

Do we get our 6 million back though.Spurs have a history of brilliant keepers like Clemence and Jenninngs or rubish like Thorsted,Sullivan,Keller, mimms and many others. We should have snafled up Friedel really

I think we'd get 6 Baht for him possibly Digger :D He cost us the match today as he has before HR came in.

Agree apart from Thorstved, remember standing behind Eric the Viking at Wembley when we stopped Arse getting the double and then again when winning the FA Cup in '91, great keeper imo. Still can't live in the past.

HR will get a new keeper in in January thats a certainty imo.
Honeymoon's over, still it lasted longer than mine did :D

How's Buenos Aires this morning/afternoon/night ?

SJ,
I think HR will try and get one of David James, Shay Given or Robert Green in January as it is quite clearly a position you desperately need a bit of quality. Mind you that is true of Arsenal as well, and has been ever since Seaman left - I really think that has been what has prevented Arsenal winning the title in the last few seasons.
On another note, your avatar of the guy from the Sopranos looks to me like Big Ron Atkinson! :D

Agree, Arsenal have had a few holes but keeper def a major one, particularly when they had that phsyopathic German bloke. Complete nutter.

Spurs need a keeper big time, any you mentioned will do for me, centre half too as King can't play every game and a top striker.
We'll see what our East London friends have to offer in Jan

Big Ron hey ?? gotta be changed then

Heurelho Gormless was rated as one of the best keepers in the world when he was at PSV but his confidence is obviously shot to pieces, as you said, he cost you points yesterday.

I was actually thinking of Eric's first game when the ball went through his legs.
This may shock everyone but my suspicion is that Arry may not buy a keeper,he put up with James, arguably the best shot stopper in the game but look away when he comes off his line but hell we have grown to love him and he is a great sportsman.
Not many great goalkeepers about,in fact who the hell would want the job it unforgiving.I felt the Arsenal goalkeeper cost the the title as well last season.
Best bet for me would be Botlton's Jaaskelainen but he is no spring chicken.Robert Green maybe but do not want to steal another of wanderlust's players, maybe we could do an exchange.
