Cost of night's stay at Andaman Club, Myanmar

Post by huahincharlie »

Is anyone here familiar with visiting the Andaman club? I have been several times before and the cost has always been 1,500 Baht for one night. But I just e-mailed them to book again and they said the price is 3,100 Baht.

Now they will not respond to my e-mails enquiring about the usual price.

Actually their web site has lots of differing prices anyway - 1,920 per night for a two-night stay, elsewhere on another page 75 USD for one night, and then elsewhere 5,000 Baht.

It must be the fault of all those scrawny backpackers who are in Thailand "working illegally" and have been cut back to a 15 day visa exemption stamp
Mind you, over 10+ years here, I've been advised to never give my dollars to Burma.
I went to The Andaman Club once years ago because I had to due to a navy standoff in the estuary. I'd never stay there though.
Ranong's bad enough, let alone Burma.
Sorry, I'm still gobsmacked about this this 15 day thing. Can't help you with the prices.
