Wife and kid visiting Hua Hin over x-mas holidays

Post by faq2mfh »

My wife and kid will be spending a couple weeks in Hua Hin over x-mas and New Years. I'm not usually concerned but..... Does anyone think there will be trouble with the red shirts throughout Thailand?

They will be perfectly fine ... unless they plan on visiting government house!

The media have hyped up the disturbances which are really only limited to tiny areas of Bangkok and carried out by small groups of trouble makers. Its Thailand, not the Lebanon!

I know but read something this morning about the red shirts beginning to mobilize etc... My guess is that the army /police will not tolerated any crap from the red shirts. Dont know what to make of the whole thing.

They will only have a problem if the Red Shirts have been learning from what was successful for the PAD and decide to take over the airport!
Apart from that I would be surprised if there was trouble anywhere that a normal tourist would go.
