Getting a lot of people wanting tickets now, which is great.
We've decided that 2 of the prizes (the bed from Siam Old Teak and the Golf day for four from Banyan Golf Resort) will be auctioned, rather than raffled, so remember to bring plenty of cash on the night if you're interested in either of those two.
Two Thai massages have been donated by the massage place at the front of Satukarn Square (simply called 'Thai Massage') so thank you to them also.
Looking forward to seeing many of you on Saturday.

If there are any left, then, yes. The way they are selling, though it might be better to get them before. If you can definitely make it, but just can't get into town beforehand to pay, then we might be able to reserve you a couple.Harry Bosch wrote:will tickets be available on the night?

Another 4 (four) great prizes in the form of food & beverage vouchers have just been pledged by Wayne from the Dubliner Irish Pub, Bkk (around Sukhumvit Soi 33 area) to be enjoyed on your next trip to the City of Angels. If the winners decide to use their tickets at the weekend, they will have another opportunity to see Lee Shamrock play as this is where he does his thing!
Thanks Wayne, great prizes.

On behalf of HeadRock Dogs, I'd like to thank Wayne from the Dubliner & Neil from the track so much. We're so grateful to everyone that has donated a prize and to Lorraine & Bill (I'd say I was grateful to Lindosfan, but I'm sure we all agree that his head doesn't need any swelling...
) Seriously, thanks to everyone for your effort.
Another prize in the Pauper raffle... Do we have any arctophiles out there? A limited edition Steiff bear commissioned for Hummel (yeah, google them too...) Ear button & tag with limited edition number 13875 intact. Also Hummel plaque around his neck. Up for grabs for a ticket price (Paupers') of 20 bt... Another good reason to come along on Saturday.
We have one bid on the Siam Old Teak bed already. Anyone else (bed or golf package) before bidding kicks off in YOBT on the night? PM's only to (buffalo) Bill, myself or Lindosfan1.

Just a very quick update. I've spoken to Lorraine today & it seems that tickets are virtually all gone, so it seems very unlikely they'll be available on the door on Saturday. I hope Bill or Lorraine will confirm that, but that is my understanding. Thank you to everyone who did purchase a ticket.
The other thing I wanted to say was that 3 of the prizes will now be auctioned, not raffled. These are: The bed from Siam Old Teak (3 bids already for that one), the Banyan Golf Package (1 bid already) and the eco-cruise for 10 from Mermaid Cruises.
I look forward to seeing you on Saturday if you are attending.

^ As I said last night, we'd accept bids via PM from anyone who couldn't make it.

success
Buffalo Bill put on a fantastic buffet last night. I have never seen Bill and Lorraine scrimp with food, the service was very good.
Lee Shamrock, I am not a fan of solo singers, this man is the exception a wonderful entertainer and unlike any other group or solo singer I have ever seen was on stage non stop for 4 and a half hours
The auction and raffles were a success figures not available yet as to money raised but Dawn will let us know.
One comment was made last night which made me think was that the 250 baht for a ticket was to cheap and I agree.
Thank you to Bill Lorraine and theire staff for all the hard work, an excellent evening.

As Lindosfan says, it was a terrific night. Lee Shamrock is a born entertainer - well worth seeing. If you haven't seen him & YOBT hosts him again, I'd really recommend going along.
Thank you so much to Bill & Lorraine for all their hard work. It was a huge success. Thanks go to all of the terrific people that donated prizes, also. We'd also like to thank everyone that came. There were far more people attending than even I had expected & it was a great atmosphere.
OK, breakdown of what was made:
Auction Haven't received payment for these prizes yet, but we made 48,000bt here. 32,000 for the bed and 8,000bt each for the Banyan golf package & the Mermaid eco-cruise for 10.
Raffle & any donations given on the night 20,340bt
Entrance fee 19,090bt (I presume a donation was made there
)
The grand total was 87,430bt. After Chris's 10% of entrance fee is given (2,000) and we pay our other expenses we should still have 80,000bt which is a fantastic amount (I'm already ordering vaccines & medicine!) Thank you so much for everything.
I mentioned Chris. As I said, we will be giving 2,000bt from the entrance fees. I'm not sure what the photographic quiz made, as Lindosfan organised & dealt with that. Also, I don't know what was in the collection box as a result of the night. I hope it will all help him out a bit, though.
