Dance and 60's soul?
Hi everyone
We come to Hua Hin every year at Songkran and had a great day this year dancing to the DJ's playing outside Siam Properties. Are there any bars that spin a few dance tunes or even the music closest to our hearts 60' Soul amongst the Thai music. We knew about Dave 'Soul Monster' ,who we guess is sorely missed .Our other 'Loves' are Old Lambrettas and Man U.Now we've bought a condo in the town we're hoping to get to know lots of locals and farangs .
Cheers.

Hi,
I have not discovered anything here to replace the nostalgic "Wigan casino" days.
But the Yamaha Fino has ousted the Lambretta!
If there is anything happening with soul or motown involved.... then count me in.
I may need to get my leather souled shoes shipped out from UK, a good bop is not the same in flip flops!!!!

Me too. It is fairly easy to get on the internet and a lot of it is out of copyright. I have had problems getting Stax though. they were the main competing label to Motown. Less well know artist but much more music.JW wrote:Have a nice selection of Northern Soul, Motown etc at JWs - no rap or boy bands etc allowed!
Has anybody heard any of the 80s/90s revival stuff, sometimes rightly or wrongly referred to as Street Soul or Garage? I hate pigeon holes.
