get your model done here

Post by splitlid »

if anyone has some house plans that they want modeled into 3D then simply attach a scaled plan here and i will model it for you.
here are my latest efforts, the ever elusive photo realistic image is my final goal.i enjoy the work,as it helps me, so feel free to post.

Im impressed mate

these would come in useful as guides especially when accurately scaled furniture is added....one of my bugbears with plans is you never get the feel of space and flow.....ooh get me....coming on all fab there...sorry

the next step would be to combine these with a gaming engine that allows you to construct the building and do a virtual walk through.....

I appreciate your work mate

putting scaled people and furniture in there does give an idea of flow and space... to someone like me these are key when designing a building you want to live in.

mate if you already do this for free then maybe you should sell your services to estate agents doing developments.....

given a cold situation where I was looking to buy a place "off plan" Id like an idea of how I would move through the house/flat...and a third person walkthrough is spot on.

lazy arse local developers..... you getting this yet?

good work bro....when Ive finally got a layout I like, and ideas as to textures Ill PM you

I use 3d modelling software from day 1 to enable better visualisation of the project for all concerned .I find it invaluable for communicating with the client and the builing teams .For those customers who are abroad I can put the software on their computer and show them how to walk through and fly around the project as it develops .I can then email any proposed changes for approval as a small file they can open at their leisure and explore both 2d and 3d renderings .Combine this with regular photographs and the client is getting reassurance of how things are going and everyone is reading off the same page .When it comes to the landscaping we 3d it then provide artists impressions by hand for approval which are amazingly accurate .

Not all developers spend 6 days a week playing golf and 1 on site SM

Just spent 4 hours in homepro and got given another 2 seater fishing chair ! Oh well another 2 places to sit at Terry's I suppose .

Now time for a

Hope you've got some dimensions splitlid ! Still it all looks like .5 and .0 lengths if the guest bedrooms are 4x4 .Great idea from hhf with the angled office door .Use it myself .Stops people feeling like pacman as they walk through the house  .

Have fun

I did smile when noting that the "his" dressing area is about one third the size of "hers"

first thing to do is paste the image onto CAD program and trace around the walls, this was a bit tricky as had to scale the image to the right size.
image on left-traced drawing on right.
