Hi Splitlidsplitlid wrote:hi SJ yes it does all that, elevations, sections, layouts, doors and windows, etc and puts on sheets with details, just like you get from architects, except its only in english.havint tried to get build permit from one of them,i suspect that they wouldnt give it based on not being thai.
No Problem Splitlidsplitlid wrote:hi khundon,
thanks for the compliment.
the program does BOQs, quantities also, but structural stuff i give to the engineer who does all the calculations.Again, all done in thai, so better.
Yes spitfire a strange love affair indeed.splitlid wrote:concrete, yep Thais love a bit of concrete, and the wetter the better.
major overkill with alot of their construction, unfortuneately modern building methods take a long time to get accepted here.

Likewise KD, before I came out here was on T5 and they bought out this software, Navis Works I think, with clash detector where you got virtual walk-throughs above false ceilings and actually see a pipe hitting the side of a bit of ductwork so you fix the clashes in front of a PC before anythings made or installed. Excellent technology.Khundon1975 wrote:I was "in the building trade" (big buildings in London and around the World) than this and we used Auto cad system that did the same thing and gave you a virtual tour of the buildings from every perspective.

Not really relevant to houses but it's amazing what some of this software can do these days, as shown by split 'spitfire' lid and some of Crazy88's stuff I've seen before. When I was an apprentice drawings were done by hand, ink and a scalpel blade![]()
