Visa-run at Aranyapratet (again)

Post by usual suspect »

Me being a numpty, have lost the thread I did about this before.
I got info that when intending to go for my 90day stamp at A/ptet,I was advised to go to another imm.post nearby, which was an easier set-up and less hassle to do there,...what was the name of that Imm/border crossing near A/pratet??
(I'm only doing my 'stamp' here so I can then drive North to the wife's family village in Issan...2 birds wiv 1 stone if all goes to my 'cunning-plan')
As far as I know its 20US Dollars + pazzy-photo & form-filling and its done...unless you lot know otherwise...?

Why dont you go and have a look around Surin nice city, then go to the immigration office at Kap Choeng and then it's 20km to Chong Chom border crossing there is a big border market and even a casino in the no mans land bit at the crossing.
You can find this info on the farang connection's website and even some pictures.

Has anyone noticed a safe place to park a car on the Thai side for a few days at any of the Cambodia crossing areas? I would think if a casino on the other side, there would be something with security? Pete

Have a look at the above mentioned website and you can find more info there i am not winding you up, there is also a new border crossing in the province next to Surin.

The casino is in the no mans land and not into Cambodia.
