I notice that the 5% UK version of Chang is imported from Thailand so I wonder if it’s the same stuff that they sell locally as bottled Chang “draught.”

Well STEVE G, I always consider Change "draught" as Carlsberg since they(Chang) blatantly 'nicked' the factory and got them(Carlsberg) 'kicked out' of the country, what, about 4-5 years ago or so.

Certainly very little difference in taste between Chang "draught" and Carlsberg IMO.

Just an observation.

Wow  Me thinks you've burned your taste buds there with all the fire...LOL. To me Carlsberg was wonderful and tasted no where near what Chang tastes like. Pete

Carlsberg was wonderful prcscct, I agree, was refering to the Change "draught" which ironically came out, for the first time, very shortly after Carlsberg was expelled.

Just noting the coincidence, as I'm a cynical fellow sometimes on this sort of suff these days. However, you might be right, until recently I was a smoker, so my tastebuds may have been compromised as you suggest.

Just pointing out the irony of the appearance of Change "draught" very shortly after the "expulsion" of Carlsberg is certainly noticable.

Carlsbergs awful as well, its one of the cheapest lagers you can buy in England, right down there with Carling and Fosters.

Carlsberg Export however is a decent drink.

Good for you  I hope you make it. If you throw :duck: for the next couple weeks, we'll understand. There's a 'quit smoking' thread on here somewhere. If any good tips from your experience, let us know. Pete

You might be right Spitfire, the Chang “draught” is a drinkable if not exactly a spectacular beer, but I’ve not tried a Carlsberg for years so I wouldn’t really know if they were the same thing.
