Electric bills

Post by crazy88 »

Our electric bills have dropped by 40/50% in the last couple of months .So have peoples nearby who are on a different supply .No change in usage,if anything more as I fill the pool every other day and run the sprinkler system for a couple of hours, also use the aircon more .Anyone else experiencing this ?

The only possible explanation I can think of is that either you were all on 'temporary' meters, which i have been told run faster and thus are more expensive, and these have been changed, or your existing meters have been adjusted in some way. The only other thing might be the discount scheme has been extended to everyone but I haven't heard anything?

Our last bill was about 40% lower than usual but then again we had the a/c off completely throughout the cold spell so waiting to see what it is this month.

Mine has been lower, but I think solely for not using a/c during the cold weather. My guess is that even if you have been using the a/c the compressor has not had to run so much and has saved money?

If anything, the rate has actually gone up. Period ending December the fuel surcharge was 0.7770. Period ending January (as announced) the surcharge increased to 0.9255. If your surcharges (known as Ft on your bill) are not as stated, you're involved in some special program down there.

My actual usage has gone down during the winter months. Pete

Dear All,

If you electric bill is in a Thai name you will be receiving discounted electricity from the tesebaan if it is in a company name normal rates apply

If you are on temporary meter the charge per unit is around 5.3 baht. On normal meter it is around 3.5
