night crawlers

Post by pedrinho »

could i kindly be granted access to the private forum of night crawlers ? quite frankly, it's the principal reason i signed up to HHAD.
thank you very much : you'll help improve my otherwise stagnant social life :-) and avoid the pitfalls others have made before me !

As long as you do not be crude or break T&C's you will get most of your answers on the public forum with regard to good places to go and general pifalls to avoid .Plenty of threads detailing these already .

ambivalence

Post by pedrinho »

like perhaps so many of us, i'm torn : i want HH to maintain its quiet sanity and relative integrity, yet i'd like its nightlife to be, shall we say, a bit more diverse, exciting and cutting edge. that's probably too much to ask.
what's currently on offer in HH is a tepid surrogate of what other, major thai cities offer : i'd rather see nothing at all in HH than see a few sad, bored and lonely faces outside a badly run 'lolita' or have a rough and peasant-like (not-so)'happy end' administered by a well-intentioned but untrained lassie.
let's, in the night crawlers domain, also go for QUALITY rather than quantity.
i'm reaching out here in hopes that perhaps YOU know of places/people that i, a relative newcomer, don't know about. and that you're prapared to SHARE, of course : a big ask, i know !

The Sofitel does a lovely afternoon tea in its Musuem cafe and there are Bridge nights run by some of our elder members. There is a fine long beach for healthy walks, some fantastic fish restaurants down by the pier, and there has even been hint of a bowling green.

What more could a man be looking for !.

Can't agree on "fantastic" fish by the pier but have not tried them all .Khun Oy's in soi 94 does the best seafood I have had in HH .Recently discovered the one right on the beach in Cha Am seafood village, superb .Also the shack that all the restaurants in dolphin bay buy from but your surroundings are VERY basic .If I eat fish I want catch of the day not yesterday .Had some great skate/stingray from a local fisherman at the pier a while back .If you like fresh fish Terrys' place will have your own catch on the table in no time .Thats fresh .Nin and tabtim have a great flavour IMO

If the sexy waitresses are serving canapes at the strip bridge evenings count me in :thumb:
