It's obvious you enjoy expressing your views, Sarge and you have a lot of good stuff to share. I can see all those who attended were good and experienced people and I was very interested in learning more about them. Had I stayed I might have had the opportunity.

I would say, though, that if contentious topics are going to be raised, to the exclusion of everything else, then count me out for future meetings. I'll end up drinking my own heart tonics.

This is just a personal preference and may not be shared by others, so please don't take offence! :thumb:

i enjoyed the afternoon immensly and it was good to put faces to handles

However the topics were a bit one sided and boring as we've heard it all before on the forum.

Maybe we need a chairman sorry chairperson to switch topics when necessary. Don't get me wrong, I'm not advocating a boardroom meeting scenario. Just a chance to gloss over other issues that are not pummeled to death on the site and a dialogue about personal circumstances and experiences would be welcome

Any thoughts? :)

If not this meetup will die very quickly. For me that would be a shame as I like to meet people face to face and talk off forum :D

Yes, ironically, wise men/women listen more than they talk. Arrogant people only talk, usually because of insecurity.

Thanks Spitfire

Now and again I do blab on too much, (usually on a blog) but I've always been credited as a good listener. difficult now as I'm deaf :D

That's me Richard. I often visit the site without logging in, as I don't post much and NightCrawlers isn't that interesting.

Hmmm - I have a PM from sarge, too.

By the time the missus picked me up about nine, I was legless. She however had thoroughly cleaned the house and ironed everything in sight.

FTR, if there's a meeting this week, I will attend, but may have to leave a bit earlier.
