The price was what was attracted me 690baht/night & of course the pics on their website look good.

I asked them to tell me how long it took to walk to the BTS from there & their reply just came back confirming my booking... 555.

I believe the nearest station is on Sukhumvit outside of Emporium at Soi 24. I don't know how far down 22 the hotel is located, but it could be a healthy walk to the station. However, soi 22 is where Washington Square bar area is as well. There are always a lot of MC taxis around that area. Pete

I sent an email back to them asking again about how long it takes to walk to the BTS, & pointed out that my earlier email to them was just making an enquiry rather than a firm booking :thumb:

Honey House Hotel

We stayed at this hotel last year. Yes it's basic but the beds are clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. For the price I wouldn't complain.

It should be noted there is a HoneyHouse 1 & 2.

The absolute S**t Hole I stayed in was HH 1.
There old short time rooms IMO.

Worst room I've ever had in Thailand and I only normally spend 1000ish on a room, certainly dont stay in the Sofitels etc

I always stay in that area of BKK but I'll be going back to my usual on Soi 20 next time.

Honeyhouse 1 is in fact in a great location though, only a 5 min walk up from Sukhumvit.

Just above regency park on this map.
(Put it on Sat and its the carpark area above)

I now have a reply saying that they're 5 minutes from the BTS, so from what BaaBaa says it seems that they "booked" me into HH1. I'm guessing that these pics on the website are from HH2 though...

No, the pictures of the front are HH1, definitely.

If you end up staying there, directly right of the entrance, just past the massage/brothel next door is where I got put and I paid more than my 2 friends.(who stayed in the main hotel, with complimentary mirrors on the ceiling)

I did have a showerhead directly over my shower cubicle sized toilet though, which was nice.

I could also wave at my mrs watching TV on the bed whilst I was in the toilet through the conveniently placed blurred window in the door, that made my night even more pleasent.

I was happy to leave for my 300 baht wooden hut on Koh Kud the following morning.

Very nice but not cheap restaurant just as you turn in off soi22 though.

Thanks for that Fatty, & thanks for your replies BaaBaa. Girlfriend & I have decided to cut it back to 2 nights now. We're booked into HHH1 & are taking the attitude if it's only 2 nights we should be able to handle it :run: :run:
