Have booked 8 rooms at the Hilton for 10 nights in July. We want the rooms on the same floor. Can anyone please suggest which floor is the best which can give both pool and sea views.
Thankyou

The best rooms are the Executive rooms. I can't remember which floor, but it's quite high up and all Exec rooms have a sea view. You also get access to the Executive Club, which is on the top floor. In there you can have breakfast and there's a happy hour from 6-8 (free drinks).

The executive rooms are nice, but in my opinion not worth the extra money despite the acess to the lounge. The room size is still the same as the standard rooms. The best is to try to get a room on the highest "standard" floor..DaveT wrote:vickiann wrote:Have booked 8 rooms at the Hilton for 10 nights in July. We want the rooms on the same floor. if you are Hilton Gold/diamond, they will still give you a suite or deluxe. This christmas we were upgraded to their 150sqm suite (not in the main building)..

I disagree completely, unless things have changed since I last stayed there (around 18 months ago).
I'm a VIP gold member and was upgraded to a suite from the normal Executive room. It was in the main building, brilliant balcony overlooking the ocean, a bedroom and a sitting room (separate). The standard roooms are nowhere near as good as the Executive rooms and the Executive lounge on the top floor is a big plus. Access all day, breakfast, teas/coffees all day with snacks and the happy hour is great with free drinks for a couple of hours.
But I still prefer Marriott, where I'll be for 10 nights as of 25th April. Can't wait!!

Rooms at the Hilton
Hi Vickiann - for a block booking of 8 rooms you probably won't be considering the suites which, good as they are, are limited.
Take note of previous advice on which floor is best, but most importantly get it confirmed in writing by the hotel.
Despite low season the Hilton still always seems to be booked up regardless. It gets a lot of Thai trade as well as some from tour operators, and management may be reluctant to rearrange customers in order to give you a full floor of 8 rooms.
Ideally the room requirements for a block booking should already have been agreed, and when I've asked for a few rooms in both HuaHin and Bangkok the hotel staff have taken care to discuss proximity of the rooms at booking stage. I'm surprised this doesn't seem to have happened with your Hilton booking, so contact them as soon as possible.
