Finally joined the forum

Post by pitsch »

Hello everybody

After reading the posts nearly every day for the last year, I finally joined the forum. Besides the very few agressive posts, which you find in every forum, I found a lot of useful informations. I am German-speaking, but the German Section is not very busy, so I rather will write in English.

I lived 6 months in Hua-Hin, then built a house in Sam Roi Yod, near Dolphin Bay, where I moved in exactly 1 year ago. So I will post some comments on Sam Roi Yod in the new "South of Hua Hin" Section.

Welcome to the board, feel free to post stuff on the German section too, it may well liven it up a bit!

Thanks for all the welcomes.

I am still waiting for the approval to join the Snappers Group to post photos of my house in Sam Roi Yod.

How long does this take usually? Or have I to fulfil some secret inauguration ceremony to get the membership?

I got an E-Mail, that my membership to the Snappers group has been approved, but I don't have the UploadPic button. Do I need the 10 posts before?

So I will try to get my 10 posts.
As you can see from my Avatar, I am not a (do you say bar-hopper?). My wild days are over and now I enjoy my retirement with my Thai-lady, who takes care of me very well.

Can you draw conclusions from the Avatar to the character of the member? How about BaaBaa and hhfarang?

Yes, because I think too much I like the Thais so much. They never think about the future. If they have money, they spend it. If they have no money, somehow they will get their pot of rice, because the family will care for them. I always calculate, how long my money will last, especially when I bought some shares, which are now less than half the value.
