The hotel next door to Jed Pee Nong is called Baan Jed Pee Nong.

PP Villa a bit further down is worth a look.

I booked elderly relatives into those seperate rooms in the back yard of Jed Pee Nong some time ago, and they were very good. Not huge, but clean, well equipped, and quiet. Very nice location for the town centre.
Judging by occassional comments on here it's still one of the recommended hotels in town.

I have stayed in the Surin hotel 4 times it's not bad for the money good breakfast and small pool also there is a small plaza next door.

Also the two hotels by the Kodak shop are o.k but one of them does not take plastic.

PP Villa beside Burger King is a great place to stay.
They have a pool and a very attentive staff.
I love it there. It is close to everything in HH.
But it is a problem to get a room there because
people book up a year in advance.
Good luck.
