Car Rental

Post by morts »

Anyone have any information about car rental? We are going to Hua Hin in Jul/Aug. Where is a good reliable/reasonable rate car rental place in Hua Hin? How much do they charge? Is the charge include the proper insurance? thanks for any information.

CAR RENTAL

Hi
I always use Budget but via a company called Netflights.com, they are normally cheaper than Budget direct and you get full insurance cover for the stated price. I book in the UK and pay in sterling.
hope this is helpful

Car rental is great, as mentioned above, but worth looking into the "other" side of it if things go south, threads can be found on it. Check the small print in the contract etc, just be sure. Nothing will probably happen I'm sure, but if you knock over "Scooter Boy" or something then it all changes, just worth some consideration of the road realities is a good idea and what the company stipulates in these situations, ask them.

Just to temper this thread with some balance/reality, the standard of driving is pathetic here generally, be careful man. I suppose it's what you would call "expectant" driving, ie expecting to crash.

If you are driving a car/pickup etc then it's worth carrying around about 5000+ baht with you at all times incase something goes wrong, whatever it is, you can then deal with it.

Don't want to sound negative etc but worth covering all angles. In your holiday, it's probably the most likely place where anything that can interject with your holiday could come from.
