UK Visas, current processing times

Post by Governor »

Anybody about to apply for a visa for the UK needs to be aware that the processing times have gone through the roof of late, visit visas are currently taking about four weeks, last year it was taking about a week, whilst settlement visas seem to be taking a little over ten weeks.

You might wish to factor this in to any future plans.

So if a guy takes the plunge and wanders into the British Embassy with a bit of skirt in one hand and a marriage certificate in the other, does that turn the visa application into a rubber stamp job, or do they still give grief?
