Doesn't B of A have a branch in Bangkok?

My motto is where there's a will there's a way. I was on this since May, so it doesn't always come quickly but I rarely find a situation that cannot be altered to meet the facts at hand.

Wells Fargo's setup form only asks the banker to provide two photo I.D.'s. It doesn't require the banker to certify or even indicate that the customer submitted the forms in person. I know that's what I was told too, but dealing with the wire transfer center directly yielded much different results than following the Bank's on-line instructions.

It is only a Bank policy, not a law, so with enough tenacity you might be able to find someone, as I did that will be willing to help you find a way to get it done.

Good Luck, and remember, you can always change banks !!

Why are you only taking 20,000 thb at ATM? Bangkok Bank ATM will give you 25,000 thb per transaction. Over time saves some fees.

It depends on your card. With my Swiss card I get also only 20 000 Baht, but I have stopped now, because of the 150 Baht (there is no fee from the Swiss bank for it!). But I am lucky, because when I transfer any desired amount via Internet Banking from the Swiss bank, I pay only CHF 2 (about 2 Dollar) and have a very good Thai exchange rate.
