What is thai food menu farang like the most?

Restaurants, food, beverage, hawkers, and local markets and suppliers. This is the place for discussion on Hua Hin's culinary options.

Hello Wan
Serving a farewell meal for your farang friend is a very warm and considerate gesture. I believe that the preferred dish by farangs in Thailand is "hoi". Served in a delicate wrapping with soft accompanying Thai music you cannot go wrong.
Bon Appetit!

something really hot and spicy will guarantee they remember you as they sit on a crowded plane for 12 hours. :) :)

Tom Yam, Green Curry, Red Curry, Pad gapao, and Pad Thai are apparently the most popular dishes.

I've found that bia singha always goes down well with the farang set, a little moo nam tok would go nice with the bia as well. Have a nice meal!

One of my absolute favorite dishes is Paneng Gai, especially if it is served in a coconut.

If you insist on cooking it you could try the Lobo pastes.

Mine are.........

Penang moo
green curry
red curry
Any bloody curry as long as it's done with coconut milk
Sticky rice with laab moo
Stick rice with laab (isaan style using beef which is eaten raw rather than being cooked)
Chicken soup with galangal

In fact I always put on weight when the father in law is here because he sure can knock up a meal.

Having said that, I love all thai food really as it's all I eat. In fact, you're more likely to find sticky rice in my home that you are bread. Currently, the only hint of farang food in the home is a packet of pasta which has been in the cupboard for months....lol.

Sorry, meant to add that your friends probably won't appreciate the raw beef laab as a lot of farang seem to have a problem with the idea of the meat being raw....lol.

Farang friendly and even if they don't really know Thai food, they should like this:

1) Beef or pork satay with usual peanut sauce, and small cucumber slices in vinegar.

2) Yum nuea or yum ped with not too much chili.

3) Kaopad boo or gung.

4) Masaman curry
