Serving a farewell meal for your farang friend is a very warm and considerate gesture. I believe that the preferred dish by farangs in Thailand is "hoi". Served in a delicate wrapping with soft accompanying Thai music you cannot go wrong.
Bon Appetit!

Mine are.........
Penang moo
green curry
red curry
Any bloody curry as long as it's done with coconut milk
Sticky rice with laab moo
Stick rice with laab (isaan style using beef which is eaten raw rather than being cooked)
Chicken soup with galangal
In fact I always put on weight when the father in law is here because he sure can knock up a meal.
Having said that, I love all thai food really as it's all I eat. In fact, you're more likely to find sticky rice in my home that you are bread. Currently, the only hint of farang food in the home is a packet of pasta which has been in the cupboard for months....lol.

Don't try to impress me with your manner of dress cos a monkey himself is a monkey no less - cold fact
Farang friendly and even if they don't really know Thai food, they should like this:
1) Beef or pork satay with usual peanut sauce, and small cucumber slices in vinegar.
2) Yum nuea or yum ped with not too much chili.
3) Kaopad boo or gung.
4) Masaman curry
Pete
