H/t how about Ceylon (Sri Lanka), Malaya (malaysia), Hong Kong, Burma, Pakistan (parts of), Fiji, West Indies (sort of English mahn), Ireland, Wales Scotland, Cook Islands, PNG/Solomons (risky one there), Sth Africa et bloddy cetera.
My God it makes one's heart jump with joy to see the spread of English in the far flung corners of the world. I remember a skit with Alf Garnet extolling the virtues of the Empire - bluudy hilarious.
However I did note 1 dissident on the BBC news several days back clearly identifiable by his 3 day old beard and his sign invoking "down with English" - this at an anti American rally in downtown Tehran!
And how about Terry Thomas - yuerh a right shaahhh! Not to mention Sergeant "shut up" (yuerh a bunch of pooofs) in it ain't half hot!
