Have to be shy to a certain extent. Trolls haven't been fed for a week or two and they must be getting a bit restless.Rider wrote:Don't be shy Man of Plums, do tell, do tell

Since you ask. Yes, I can teach TM. It is a great way to meditate, calming the mind and leading the practitioner towards different states of consciousness and a deeper awareness of him/herself.
I recommend TM since it doesn't involve people trying to still the mind through the force of their will, an impossible task, which just leads to frustration and disillusion.
Having practiced a number of different meditative methods over the years, I would emphasize the need to ensure you are given the correct mantra (and there are many) for your needs rather than one prescribed by a TM trainer who, in my experience, lack the wider understanding of both the human body and the mind, necessary to offer the best 'solution'. He/she tend to just follow the script. Fine when you wish to sell a product but it may not actually be the best solution for the individual.
In my experience those who wish to calm the mind can absolutely benefit from meditation. However, they might also wish to explore whether there is a physical or emotional issue leading to the mind being unsettled. In other words, 'Is the problem in the mind? The body? Or both?'
If you have an underlying health condition unsettling your mind, or guzzling sugar drinks, or not breathing properly, then meditation is only part of the solution.
The best Healing or Spiritual retreats I attended, addressed both body and mind.
