Map of Hua Hin

Post by Limey711 »

Can anyone direct me to a link that shows a map of Hua Hin and the surrounding area.

The only maps that I seem to find, are just of the town centre.

HHAD is developing two much better maps of town and surrounding areas. Check : http://huahinafterdark.com/hua-hin-map.htm

It's being updated and will be ready soon. Watch this space.

Jambo,
Sorry, I've deleted your whole post. Just meant to delete the link as it was rather wide.
Norseman had the same link anyway. :thumb:

As lomu said we are currently developing an area map that will cover from the airport all the way down to Khao Tao.

Slightly off topic, but a web site I use for a general map of Thailand is http://www.clickthai.de/Map/

It's zoomable & very good for route planning etc

Hope it helps!

Great map Lev but what is the criteria for a village/project to get on the map? Is it to do with sponsorship or are they just the ones you know about?

The reason I ask is that our 'village' (completed, so no sponsorship will be forthcoming from the developer) is not on the map and it would be great to have a ready made map that we could use to show people where we are.

Since the map is in development could I pm you the details of our village so you can add them if possible?

Nothing to do with sponsorship since we don't allow property advertisers. We sell our own properties from selected villages/developments that we trust through the site here which is why we don't allow individual ones to advertise.

It could well be that the map's original creator was unaware of your village, so yes PM it if you like and we'll get it added.

GREAT MAP!!!!

Wish I had this when I was in HH last. Anyhow still a great resource as I research property from afar. A good screeing tool that will help me limit my looking time when I get to HH next.

Again, thanks a lot.

It is a good map and I tip my hat to you for providing it.

I realize you have to draw the line somewhere but alot of the prime development land still remaining lies North of the Airport, and is not included on the map.

Palm Hills for instance is not included yet its just as much a part of the Hua Hin area even if it is a Cha Am mailing address.

It wasn't really our intention to put the map up to highlight housing developments. It was more for our sponsors and an interactive hotel booking system, click on the hotel and get the info and reservations as we have on this one:

Lev, those maps a geat and very informative.

I do not blame you for not putting all new developments etc on the maps. It seems that in the 9 months that I have been accessing the site, that your sponser list is growing weekly.

It is imperative to keep both existsing sponsers and future sponsers happy (by only putting their information on your main map).
It is a great selling point to future sponsers that you can offer that kind of exclusivity.

This site as an information site is one of the best that I have come across. We are going to Koh Samui in July this year and could find no sites with information on the island with anywhere near as much info as you have on HH.

Through having a basic standard format for most of your adds and pages, plus the simple way that you can access all of the info that you want, it makes it much easier for the end user to operate.

Once that happens, people tend to come back to the site again and again, plus more importantly pass on your site to others by word of mouth. That is the best sort of advertising you can get in the world.

Also it is good to see that there seems to be a certain amount of care taken from your end before taking on sponsers. There is nothing worse that having a sponser that does not deliver what they are offering, as a lot of the time it will be your site that kops all of the flack, not the sponser.

I do not know whether you can do it, but would be a good idea if you could show future sponsers, any sort of increase in business that exissting sponsers have had since they have signed up with your site.

Keep up the good work and good luck with your site in the future.

Well, it may not have been your intent to show hosuing developments on the map, but it is how I will use this tool. You may as well let your potential advertisers know.

i have looked at a lot of development web sites & have always been frustrated trying to where the hell they are physically located. And this doesn't matter if I am in HH or CA. So the bottom line to me is if they are shown on the map then I will look at them first the next time I'm in HH

No location--no lookee!!
