Info on a bar !

Post by Wryka »

HI guys this is my first post on here. So I won't ramble on too long. It's been some time since I first went to Hau Hin but enjoyed the place when I was there. A mate of mine has since emmigrated to Hau Hin and bought a bar (like you do !) . The name of the bar, I think , is TNT Bar and fellow that looks after it is Colin, short dumpy guy who used to mend shoes a bit. I can't find it on the map and I was wondering if anybody here knows of it. Looks like I'll be back out there in the new year some time - looking forward to some warm weather and not the snow we have here today.

Cheers for any info

Thanks for the welcome Randy

I think he bought the bar with a guy named steve - an aussie - but have since gone their separate ways. Colin still has the bar and is doing okay looking after ex-pats etc. with bands coming in dong their thing. Wiuld be nice to hear if any of the regulars here beenin to see him - it would be a great surprise if some mentioned me to him.

HI Chelsea

I found this link when I was looking through the site before - maybe it's the same place and my mate bought it from this dutch couple. If anybody is around that part of town stick your nose in and say "Wayne says hi and he's mising his TVR" if it's the right guy he'll buy you a beer from me and tell him to put it on my slate.

Correct, i'm the dutchman mentioned and i owned the bar before. It's in the same street as the Blue Angel and direct opposite Nung Bar. Last december Colin (England) bought it from me and ran the bar together with Steve (Australia). Don't know how they are doing at the moment since i hardly come in the bardistrict anymore. Last time i visited TNT they were doing very well.

Cheers Mat

Colin is a good friend of mine. We are both into cars Lotus TVR etc. when he was back here in the UK we used to go out for a spin in what ever we had at the time and have a beer and a laugh. Like I mentioned in a earlier post I'm trying to get out there in January sometime with the wife and my little girl. Just keeping an eye on flight deals once the Xmas chaos is finished.

Maybe see a few people from here in TNT when we get there.
Thanks for the response guys and have a great Xmas and New Year.

If you are after cheap flights from the UK, Air Asia fly now from Stansted to KL and then on from KL to BKK.
Just make sure you leave plenty of times for connecting flights as you have to go through Customs at KL after arriving from the UK and then re-check in again for KL to BKK.

Cheers for the reply

Next time you see Colin tell him "We haven't found anybody to fill his stool in the corner at the pub yet !" he knows what I mean.

Hope to be out there in early feb. - snow here has put me behind at work, so once all sorted we'll be out there for some free drinks from him.

Ticket all booked today :D

Looks like a few beers in the TNT will be likely as of next friday night. Plane gets in at 15.40 so I guess after luggage and the drive down I could be in there for about 20.00.

Has he got any real ale in there yet - Adnams will do nicely.

See you Friday
