Walk upon England's mountain green?
And was the holy Lamb of God
On England's pleasant pastures seen?
And did the countenance divine
Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
And was Jerusalem builded here
Among those dark satanic mills?

Bring me my bow of burning gold!
Bring me my arrows of desire!
Bring me my spear! O clouds, unfold!
Bring me my chariot of fire!
I will not cease from mental fight,
Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand,
Till we have built Jerusalem
In England's green and pleasant land.

Hairs stand up on the back of my kneck, tears of pride well up in my eyes as I grab the rose on my puffed out chest. Death to all infidels...
:agree: Keep on singing you champions. It still brings a lump to the back of my throat. It's good to be so proud again.

I missed the begining, but I don't recall hearing Land of my Fathers (is that what the Welsh sing?) once.

I'm bloody glad that England won as I work with loads of Welshman, Yeovil not being that far from Leek-eater land and I wouldn't have bothered going in tomorrow if we had lost.

I think the Welsh supporters need to stick to their Playstation :D :guns:
Unfortunately 15 against 14 for 17 of your points - I think you can thank a certain A W Muppet Jones for a big helping hand there........ Conrats to England all the same. :cuss: :cuss: :guns:

Plenty of time to go, and our plan of lulling our dear competitors into a false sense of security seems to be working well (and getting decent odds at the bookies) ........ Wales for the championship!! :butt:

I didn't see any 'Welsh bravado' on here at all, just a fair assessment of current form and expectation. England fully deserved their win as Wales lived up to Guscott's description of them (I linked to his article in my previous posts).

The frustrating thing from a Wales perspective is that England never looked like creating anything when Wales had 15 men on the pitch - 17 points when Wales were down to 14 men and a breakaway interception try at the end.

AWJ committed one of the most underhand and heinous acts in rugby - the trip - and was lucky not to get a red card. What made it worse were his childish protestations as he got up - which you could hear on the ref link - that it was 'just the way he was getting up' that meant his leg was left out! Idiot! Gatland must take a leaf out of Martin Johnson's book and drop him as per James Haskell (I think) last season.

When he got carded, Wales had been tackling England into the ground and driving them back time and time again and were just starting to get on top up front but they just crumbled psychologically when AWJ went off.

A number of Welsh players also just didn't turn up. No weight coming through from the lightweight second rows - much better after Bradley Davies came on to add some grunt, Cooper was abysmal and Ritchie Rees showed why he has been keeping Cooper out of the Cardiff side when he came on. Tom James was a rabbit in the headlights and after waiting for his six nations chance for so long, Gareth Williams just didn't take it at hooker.

Never mind, I had Haskell in the sweepstake for first try so at least I came out a winner and Cardiff's second string defeated the Scarlets to put us into the Anglo Welsh semi final at home to Gloucester in a repeat of last years final.

The question I have for the England fans is, do you think England have 'turned the corner' with this win over Wales?

I certainly think it helped turn a corner. But I think winning the 6 nations would do more... :|

Too early to tell after just one game. However, it was a much better performance than they put out last year. Let's give it a couple of weeks, and see how they perform against France and Ireland before we get too carried away.

Having said that, we've got to take bragging rights while we can :D
