Best street food

Post by frankygoes »

Hi All,

Where would be the best place to get good street food. What I mean by this is sidewalk restaurants and also those places that do meat on a stick over hot coals.

Many thanks,

F.

Head north up Phetchkasem to about soi 54. There's a whole row of carts on the left (west) side dishing up good food every night to scores of hungry Thais.
If its busy, its fresh and if tons of Thai people are there its the real thing.
And, there's a 7/11 behind the carts so you can get your beer while your food is being prepared.

frankygoes,

Not good with names of thai streets, but, the little street where coco 51 is on the corner of the main road is a Som Tum place, apparently the queen eats there so not sure about the price...i think the street name is Neabkahardt, right along the beach.

The satay chicken place on the corner next to the school with basketball courts out front the street runs into Phetkasem rd (damn street names, sorry). That satay place is always packed too with massive orders, if you can get some of those, very famous in Hua Hin.

It depends what you are after for specific dishes...there are many great places around though.
