That's very good news, Lek, and I wish you success. Will Lung Bay's band also be playing at the new place?

Lek

Best of luck in your new venture

My daughters are out in April and as I live just across the road I am sure we will venture there. We all adore Thai cuisine and as you know, I have been to Cocos many times and it was always excellent

Look forward to meeting up

Richard

Without divulging your private business, can you tell me what happened to Sam? Thanks.

Lung Per - thank you for your good wishes. We will have live music on Fridays and Saturdays.

Nereus - Sam got tired of the commute between Bangkok and Hua Hin and has retired. We wish him well.

Hope some of you will visit our new venture.

My wife and I visited Coco 51 last saturday evening for dinner around 8:30pm. The food was good and prices seemed fair for the quality. A jug of Heinekin was 260Bt which was not bad. I had the pig Knuckle (350Bt) and it was cooked well and cut into bite-sized pieces - unusual but good.

What I really liked about the place other than the nice cool weather by the sea was the live music played by a jazz guitarist and baseman from a balcony. The mood was mellow and as romantic as it probably gets in Thailand. Service was above average for Thailand.

Bottom line- I recommend the place if you are looking for foreign food served in a mellow beach ambiance at prices you might find in a 4 star hotel.
