One not mentioned thus far
Hua Hin Hills Vineyard
There are threads on this but I have been twice - nice place - different - food in restaurant ok, if you don't pick a busy day.
You can do the trip from their shop in MV if you don't fancy driving.

Kendo
Why not do the trip in reverse?
You can then head-but the monkeys before you leave on the baht bus

Just a thought

Enter Market Village through main entrance at front then turn right and up the escalator - you can't miss it - next to the pizza place.

Wine is also sold in their Market Village shop at same price as vineyard.
Is it good? - Depends on your taste
The 'Monsoon Valley' Rose when chilled is quite good.

Re: Heading to HH - Advice Needed
The white shiraz is one of the best wines I've tasted from this part of the world (not cheap). The trip to the vineyard and the restaurant there is a very nice afternoon out...and they do have free tasting there.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
Re: Heading to HH - Advice Needed
Can I get directions to the vineyard.
Thanks
Thanks
Re: Heading to HH - Advice Needed
^sure.
its, right, 200m turn left, go straight for 3km and cross over the traffic lights, left at the next lights and just before the bridge turn right.go straight(well actually its a windy road). after 8km turn left, you will know when to turn as theres a little man who sits under a tree all day and sleeps. anyho, keep going for about 15km, turn left down the dirt track and drive off road for about 5 kms.
and then you are there.

Don't listen to Splitlid as he does not know his left from right. When he says left go right and when right turn left except after the second lights where you do actually turn left
I recon you will spend more time getting there than walking around it. If you are not hungry and do not like tasting mostly bad value wines it is a bit like walking around a farm shop/cafe with very limited products. Nice setting though-similar to the temple with the big statue - without the wine
. Another place to spend ......... 20 minutes.

Thanks guy's.
Coming from Sydney I do enjoy getting out to sample the odd drop of good wine but as you mentioned, if they are as bad as you say I'd better just bring my own from OZ

Re: Heading to HH - Advice Needed
Unfortunately now getting towards the end of our break - fly out on Sunday morning. Much as expected, did absolutely zero to plan (aside from the beer run 1st morning & a poorly timed visit to the fishing lodge as it was closed)..... Still, have had an amazing time as always in HH - had a mate staying with us on his 1st visit to Asia and he's absolutely loved it.
We've had a few trips out to the south, fairly lazy days for a spot of lunch and a few beers on the beach followed by lazy evenings and a few more beers at the house/villa!! We've great neihbours on both sides which just adds to the enjoyment.....
We had planned to go to Bangkok a few days early, but with the whole Red Shirt, Yellow Shirt, No Shirt saga, I'm loathed to leave HH until I absolutely have to!!
Anyway, thanks again for all the advice and suggestions......... we hope to try them all out on future visits!!
