I agree with that BB, why they had to bring in so called financial 'help' from a Jap company when it turns out that they are not really interested in English football, look whats happening with LFC and Pompey :butt: with the imported financial help, and they are clubs with premiership exposure.

I cant see any success for the Pilgrims in the future, even a possible slide down the next league, I know it sounds negative, but unless we get a good sponser (unlikely now) and substantial cash injection, we aint going anywhere but down.

Watford 1 Argyle 0

:banghead: Why are Argyle always so inconsistent? the display against Donnie Rovers last week was a good passionate one where the players looked like they wanted to prove themselves. Yesterday they had the chance to close the gap on the fellow strugglers, (Palace and Wednesday both lost) then the Greens turn in a dire performance and loose against Watford :cuss:

Back in the Championship next season? Doubt it! :|

I'm just wondering if the West Brom management team of ex-Chelsea stars Di Matteo and Newton will eventually head home? Well done to both guys for a job well done in their 1st season!

Stranger things have happened BB. Who knows, maybe they'll have a bad day. The Toon need to revel in the glory this year though as they may find themselves in the lower quarter of the PL next year. Pete

Plymouth lost which is a shame. My team Crystal Palace have two matches left West Brom away and Sheffield wed away on the last day, winner of that match will stay up, I think lke Plymouth we are doomed but one can live in hope.
Woke up this morning breathing that's a good start to the day.

Yes, a dark day for The pilgrims, but at least we had a gradual easing into relegation, not really a shock at the last. :|
Best of luck to Palace, not good to be in that position from being docked points due to bad money or business management. If thats what it really was..

At least I'll have some company in a Division 1 Thread next season.

Come on you Saints.

Hard luck Plymouth - your day will come again.

Or was it Ron Dewdneys, I cant remember its been at least 15 yrs since last at HP to see a match BB. By the way, anywhere in HH where I can buy a decent pasty?

Getting back to the football, I suppose we will have to have a new active topic title of 'League One 2010-11' for next season?

Watched the match against NUFC this morning on our local middle east coverage, and once again Argyle looked as if they have some promising players who want to prove themselves, not sure if they will still be with us next season.

Looking forward to a clean start already, fingers crossed for a better run.

I've actually been impressed by the way Mariner has squeezed out the Scottish leeches. Unfortunately it hurts every week watching Sky Sports News hearing that another Scottish leech has scored in the SPL while Plymouth Argyle are still paying their wages.

He's put together a squad that could do something next season. With the Scottish leeches going out of contract in the close season, it'll leave some spare cash to pay the wages of some players capable of playing in the English Football League.

How many other League 1 sides will have 2 centre forwards playing in this Year's World Cup?

Ivor Dewdney was in Cornwall Street in the City Centre, while his brother Ron's shop was outside St Levans Gate.

Yes, I remember the shop on Cornwall St, but when at a match used to buy from the Lyndhurst Rd refreshments stall at back of stand. Those were the days, standing only, my old man used take me standing on the half way line next to Umbrella Vye (not Lil).

Anyway, hope Mariner can maintain the momentum that seemed to be forming between the likes of Wright-Phillips, Mason and that Zimbabwian I cant spell.
But the team still needs to get a good backer I feel, not Japanese. How about the Wrigleys CEO.

I dont know, pasties and chewing gum, says alot for our city doesnt it.
