He isn't even on the same planet.

There's some special players at the moment: Xavi, Iniesta, Ronaldo, Torres, Rooney, Fabregas, Drogba etc but this kid is alongside Zidane and the real Ronaldo in my lifetime and I think he'll go on to be the best ever.

I'll be watching "El Classico" this weekend, watch him while you can, he should hit his peak in 6-7 years. Image

Bit OTT, IMHO. A very weakened Arsenal team with a tiny sized midfield gave the guy the space he needed. Special - yes. The best - no. Not yet. More to do starting with his performances in his national shirt which have been disappointing(as long as its not at the World Cup).

I hear he's joining Chelsea next season, with Torres. The scousers are after Marcus Bent. Manure a new team. :thumb: :thumb:

That's why I said "could become" Mr C. I know he will have to win a World Cup but he's only 22.

By the way, He isn't going to Chelsea, you're to late,LFCs scouts have known Lionel is good at football for the last few weeks.

I've read that the Argies haven't taken him to heart because he's pretty much grown up in Spain.

It could partly explain why he hasn't done it for his national side.

Zidane does do a good match report but if you're talking about the Arsenal match, what can you say, Barca are simply the best team in the world at the moment.

Utd V Bayern however....................

Well,what can I say ? :(
For me the defining moment of the match was just before half time when sloppy defending by Carrick allowed Olic to pull one back for Bayern and give them a lifeline.
If United had gone in at 3-0 at half time they might have just hung on despite Rafael being sent off.
Great goal by Robben to pull it back to 3-2 but he's such an obnoxious tw@t!
United two goals to the good after just seven minutes....the beer was going down well....the Germans had not been in such disarray since 1945.....but how it all changed !
I see Ferguson showed his faith in Berbatov by replacing Rooney with O'Shea and putting, midfielder,Gibson up front !
So no English team in the final for the first time in a few years.Sad for United but I think if they would have got there they would probably have been humiliated by Barcelona.....hopefully a fate that awaits the Germans !
That could well be it for United for this season although,if Rooney is fit, they might still have a chance of the title.
They need some fresh faces for next season....Neville and Scholes past it,Berbatov and Owen not up to it.....two top class strikers a big big priority.
Hey,it could well be after the second legs of the Europa Cup that Liverpool will be the last English team in Europe....hopefully long term contracts for Lucas,Babel and Rodriguez.
Thats my autopsy on United RZR but,on a serious note,I know many members have become alarmed at your decline in the IKTS !
Top in January now about 700 points adrift....that takes some doing.....even Baa Baa and Big Boy have opened up a big lead on you !
What have you been doing ? Predicting Chelsea,United and Arsenal to lose every week and predicting Hull,Burnley and Pompey to win with Burnley as your Banker ? 8)

i was also one off the bottom in october/november  so i think it was the long haul up to the summit that took it's toll & i ran out of steam :(
using teams outside of the top 4, particularly man city & spurts regularly as my bankers have cost me dear :cuss:
its nice to know so many members are concerned about my ikts welfare  :D

I agree! Maxi has been great since he arrived, a fantastic free signing. Babel seems to have added the workrate to his undoubted talent and Lucas, for some reason gets criticism I don't think he deserves.

He keeps £18 million Anderson out of Dungas Brazil squad and scored a beauty tonight to boot.

The pitch looks a bit waterlogged - I remember the Carlisle pitch looked like that a couple of years ago.
Championship Plymouth Argyle 1 - 2 Leeds Utd

Points 46; Position 23 RELEGATED

It looks at present that M. City is in next year. Controversial subject but I wonder if partly because of some of the talent Thaksin bought? I think I remember reading that he divested himself of all holdings, or was forced to by some regulatory body, but I also bet he still holds a substantial number of shares under some holding company name.
