Gadook. Thanks Pete, you learn something new everyday.
The league certainly is tight with only 6 points separating our entire group. Time for some Chinese predictions now... not easy with so many drivers jostling for points. That said, if the Red Bulls have sorted their reliability issues they could be very strong in the next few races.

Chinese GP next. I read this recently : "Ferrari will use the two engines it removed from its cars in Bahrain for the Chinese Grand Prix, having concluded they are fit to be used..." Bahrain was a Ferrari 1-2.
30% chance of rain in Shanghai on Sunday. I believe Hamilton fastest in practice. Let's see what happens with qualifications. One of the Toro Russo cars had both front wheels and suspension fall off simultaneously. Pete

Holy cow! I've got to go lay down and take some blood pressure meds. What a race. Hamilton reported on lap 47 that his left front tyre had gone bald and I think he let up a bit after that as he fell away to 7.2 seconds behind Button. The pit advised the tyre should hold until the finish and he let it all out again. I think at the finish he was around 2.0 seconds back. Without that tyre issue and his mentality about it, I think he would have taken it from Button.
Pool results not in yet. Pete

JJ remains in front with a 2 point lead but some coming up fast from behind in mid-table. We have a lengthy break now until the Spanish Grand Prix on May 9. I'm sure we'll see significant changes to some cars, so with this next one we could see a new pattern emerge. Good Luck! Pete
PS: No one picked the winner this race.

Thanks Pete. Like a fool I made my picks after the first free practice yesterday, I'm beginning to regret that now I've seen the Red Bull times.. sigh.
As an aside: following a hefty few weeks work, here in Bangkok, I'm going to take a break in Hua Hin for a couple of days; any suggestions for a good bar to watch the race tomorrow night?

Don't feel bad, I made mine on April 30 thinking the race was on May 2. I live in Rayong JJ so hopefully someone else will suggest a good HH sports bar. Pete

Congratulations to JJ, RZR and Lindosfan who all share the lead at 59. The rest of the field is starting to spread out now. Once again this week, no one picked the winner. Monaco coming up this weekend. Good luck to all! Pete
