With being tied to the bar-game somewhat I once asked my Teelak "Why did you chose me,and why are you happy to be married to me even tho' I'm not a rich farang? All the men that come in the bar have 'big money' and you could have nice house in Sweden,play golf,have a wardrobe just for handbags alone..."

Fair play US, honesty is always a breath of fresh air. IMO, doesn't matter what type of women you get involved with here, it's all relative. Low, middle or high class girls all come with their own set of dramas/problems, ie a country Isaan girl might want a house in the country near her family or a house and small business in the city as opposed to the middle class girl who has a family with land and she has a degree with an average job but expects you to help her hit the stratosphere and you have to impress the in-laws with your capability and shinning armour, move over Sir Lancelot. The high class/rich girls you are unlikely to get anywhere near and if you do then you are superfalous in so many ways, not to mention the politicing bollox you'd have to perform to keep up appearances. Which one is the lesser drama? Who knows? You'd need to have been in a proper relationship with all three at some point for a while. I know guys from all three sections and they all have their problems. It's whatever floats your boat and to be honest, some of the happiest dudes I've met are married to your average Isaan girl, so must be something in it, snooty rich girls can be a pain in the ass and often lack many qualities conducive to a relaxed relationship. It's good that country girls, wherever they are from, have given foreigners a go as thousands of happy couples have emerged because of it. Whether they 'prefer' this or that is academic, in reality, then 'Yes', hypothetically, then 'WTF know?' It's the 'second conditional', 'if' 'then', ie if I won the lottery, then I'd......... Excellent posts Spitfire. IMHO, I see the socio-economic factors influencing the interests of Isaan girls more than ethnic factors. Both can influence decisions, but ethnic factors are secondary.

She has everything, including higher status in her society than 99% of the falangs have in theirs.
