Dear All,
I am back in Sport Villa (Soi 105/6 - not far from the InterContinental) for a month and am delighted to see that Citywide wireless internet is available in my apartment. In fact I am using it now!
I am getting the full 100Kb but the signal is flaking out quite often. I have splashed out on the 300 baht 1 month 'up to' 2Mb upgrade and the speed has only gone up to about 125 Kb. Not too happy about that obviously.
Does anyone know an area in this part of town where the signal is at its strongest?

I use it in Condo Chain 5 floors up and OK but flaky particularly at weekends and when the schools kick out and the internet cafes clog up

I also am at Condo Chain, on the sixth floor. It's often unusable, e.g. 4 minutes to load google.com. I'm still figuring out what times it is consistently too slow. Middle of the afternoon is usually no problem. 5am is also no problem, but it becomes unusable around 6am. (As if that were usefull info for those with normal sleeping habits :-)
