Hi

Post by Ace4 »

Hi everyone, Great to find this board here as I've recently learned about Hua Hin and plan on heading over for my first time this October. I have a bunch of questions of course so I'll try to find the appropriate section to post them. I'd love to stay for a few months at least.
I'm recovering from some health problems not to many people my age (30) have to deal with . I've felt better than i have in years recently with lots of hard work treating myself instead of listening to doctors which got me very little results. I'm hoping the benefits of Hua Hin, (the weather, the food, the ocean, the pace of life) will out weigh any potential health problems that may arise from being there. The food bacteria stuff i read about is a concern but i read that type of stuff about every foreign country I thought of going to it seems.
Anyone have any opinions on coming to Hua Hin as a sabbatical type trip, given health concerns?

Welcome to the forum; I'm afraid I'm no expert on healthy living in Thailand, as I tend to overindulge a bit, but we do have people on here who're into that kind of thing.

Welcome Ace4, I hope the stay in Hua Hin is the pick me up that you need. Food shouldn't be a problem - there's plenty of choice, and hygiene is fine in most places.

Welcome Ace4,

Hua Hin would be a good place for a rest and recuperation type of stay, but if your health problems require specialists or a good international type of hospital, we don't have that at the moment. One is being built and should be open next year.

Good luck and get well.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Welcome to the forum Ace4 :thumb:

I'm sure that a stay in Hua Hin is just what you need, just don't drink the water.

A doctor once told me, that the South of France was good for arthritis, I went there and got it.
I've lost my mind and I am making no effort to find it.
